You said that if a pair of same-sex come to City Hall to marry you will do it. course Tilos marriages were cancelled and the matter has taken the path of justice. Nevertheless, would you do it ? I'll do something better. I will work with other mayors on the family law of the country, part of which is civil marriage, to acquire the characteristics of modern European countries which we have to include. What do you think the marriages of persons of the same sex ? I believe that if two adults, regardless of sex, they want to formalize their relationship with marriage, if they wish to pay in relation to this matter, then you should also can benefit from the provisions of family law. It is believed that persons of the same sex should be able to adopt children; United States of America is a society more conservative than our own, why don't we ? Would you go to a gay bar; I go wherever I want and I go almost everywhere. Do you support a gay parade in the city; A celebration of gay people; If a gay parade in New York, Berlin, Paris, London, all cities say that our citizens want to visit the vibrancy, dynamism, their light spirit, why not be in Thessaloniki ? Have gay friends; Make friends with gay; You talk about their problems; Of course I have gay friends. I understand why the diversity inherent in a point and then I gave up the "right" way and I met and the joyed the difficulties of this option. 2 Comments Ahmet Yildiz is MY FAMILY 09/28/2009
Ahmet Yildiz 1979-2009 What happened... It was five month ago when Ahmet Yildiz told Turkish prosecutors that he had received death threats from members of his family. The prosecutor’s office declined to pursue the case and now Ahmet’s friends claim his family is responsible for his murder. He was gunned-down outside a café Wednesday, July 16th near the Bosphorus strait. After coming out to his family last year, Ahmet’s friends say he endured increasingly dangerous threats from them. He was a physics student and travelled to San Francisco to represent Turkey at an LGBT rights conference in 2007. Some friends of Ahmet Yildiz are calling this homophobic murder an ‘honour killing’ in reference to their belief that his family is responsible and the fact that his family refused to remove his body from the morgue for an unusually long time. The LGBT and Bear Community worldwide wants to pay homage to Ahmet Yildiz as a reminder of all the people that suffer discrimination in the world based on their sexual orientation, and to ask to all governments in the world to fight against hate crimes. www.ahmetyildizismyfamily.blogspot.com SEAN PENN GOES FOR THE OSCAR ! 12/30/2008

''SCREW'' NEW FREE GAY PRESS IN THESSALONIKI 10/02/2008
Hollywood star Brad Pitt has made a large donation to campaign fighting an attempt to ban gay marriage in California. His $100,000 (£54,840) to the campaign against Proposition 8 was announced yesterday. "Because no one has the right to deny another their life even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another, and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," Mr Pitt said in a statement. Proposition 8 is an initiative measure on the 2008 California General Election ballot in November. It would amend the state Constitution to provide that "only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognised in California," thus constitutionally eliminating the right to same-sex marriage. In May the California Supreme Court overturned a ban on same-sex marriages in the state. The Court voted 4 to 3 to strike the ban on gay marriage in California. Opponents of gay marriage raised over one million signatures to place the initiative on the November ballot. | GayThessalonikiGAY NEWS IN GREECE AND EUROPE ArchivesFebruary 2011 Categories |
